Nouveau Victorian Conservatory

Charleston SC verandas inspired our sunroom vision: opulence, palm trees, glamour, and fresh classical style. Verandas in crisp black and white and grey, with luscious green nods to nature, inspired our color palette. Our clients love texture, so we painted the walls, ceilings and the fretwork our favorite white, eliminating the contrast and optimizing the texture. We replaced the tile floor with mahogany hardwood. We added a custom tightback bench cushion sofa, in grey and black velvet fabric. Our clients entertain often, and for gathering and communing, we added super comfy and durable grey faux leather swivel chairs with bright gold nailheads… they can swivel around to watch the game on the back wall TV. Each chair has its own black and white marble table for drinks and plates. A huge shamrock-shaped tufted ottoman, in grass green velvet and acrylic and gold legs, is the Diva in the room. Black and gold accent tables, and gold lamps, alongside the sofa add sparkle. A huge custom cream and grey area rug anchors the space. Six soaring grass green faux silk window treatments, with wide white and grey trim, accentuate the angles of the room and drive the eye toward the ceiling, which boasts a tiered black metal and crystal chandelier. A sleek console table, with a starburst mirror and over-scale lamps, adorn a back wall. Despite having many spaces to hang out in this very large home, our clients say their guests congregate and linger only here, in their opulent sunroom.
